First Aid at Work

Our First Aid at Work (FAW) course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to handle a wide range of workplace emergencies. Fully accredited and compliant with HSE (Health & Safety Executive) regulations, this qualification ensures your business meets its legal responsibilities while empowering staff to act quickly and safely in real situations.

Whether you’re new to first aid or refreshing your existing knowledge, this course is delivered in a friendly, engaging environment with plenty of opportunities to practise essential skills.​

On completion, participants receive a recognised Level 3 First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years. A 2-day refresher course may be taken before certification expiry to extend certification for a further 3 years.

- 3 x 6h days face-to-face

- 2 x 6h days face-to-face + 6h online learning unit

What to expect

The course covers all core first aid skills required for workplace safety, including:

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Unconscious casualties & recovery position

  • Choking emergencies

  • Heart attacks & strokes

  • Seizures

  • Shock and catastrophic bleeding

  • Wound care & bandaging

  • Burns and scalds

  • Fractures, sprains & soft tissue injuries

  • Head, neck & spinal injuries

  • Asthma, allergic reactions & anaphylaxis

  • Diabetes, fainting & medical conditions

  • Workplace incident reporting (RIDDOR)

  • Risk assessment and keeping a safe environment
