Emergency First Aid at Work

An accredited, industry-recognised course for workplaces needing a fully trained first aider, delivered through practical, confidence-building training.

Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course provides the core skills required to become a workplace first aider. Perfect for organisations that need quick, effective training that still meets HSE (Health & Safety Executive) standards, this one-day course prepares you to respond calmly and confidently in real emergencies.

Training is hands-on, interactive, and supportive—making it suitable for complete beginners as well as those refreshing their knowledge.

On completion, participants receive a recognised Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years. A practice skills refresher course is recommended every 12 months.​

Flexible course formats available:

  • One 6-hour face-to-face training day

  • Two 3-hour face-to-face twilight sessions

What to expect

​

This qualification covers the key first aid skills needed for day-to-day workplace incidents, including:

  • Adult CPR

  • Use of an AED

  • Unconscious casualties & recovery position

  • Choking emergencies

  • Seizures

  • External bleeding & shock

  • Minor injuries (cuts, grazes, sprains, burns)

  • Workplace incident reporting & responsibilities
